Thabong specialises in romantic Garden Weddings, and we will plan and co-ordinate the entire event for you, including the dinning arrangements, decor, DJ, flowers and provide a top photographer to capture your memories of the day in vivid detail.

 

You can also choose your Wedding Dress from our exclusive design collection, situated on our premises in our brand new Boutique. You will stay in our luxurious Honeymoon Suite and if need be, we will also arrange for accomodation for your guests. Comprised of professionals who are dedicated to making sure your wedding or function runs perfectly, our resident team of service providers have the knowledge and the expertise to turn your vision into reality. From wedding dresses, flowers, decor, candles and music, to accomodation, catering, photography, lighting, hair & make-up, Thabong is your one stop solution to all your wedding, function and conference needs.

East Rand's Top Wedding Venue

Our fully draped and thatched Thabong Hall can accomodate between 120 and 500 guests, depending on the size of the dance floor that is required. For more intimate weddings you have at your disposal our smaller hall, which can hold between 40 and 120 guests, dependant of course, on the size of the dance floor required.

At Thabong we pride ourselves on our relaxed and homely athmosphere, while maintaining a 100% customer satisfaction record and keeping up a professional level of service quality. We have available the widest range of decor options, with the Bride having have her choice from a wide range of center pieces, organza, flower arrangements, candles, table settings and other related items.

Our well trained, in-house Chefs will provide a choice of menus to help ensure that all your wedding guests have a special and unforgetable experience.

Chapel and Garden Weddings

Our beautiful Chapel features a lovely thatched roof as well as a unique bell tower. The atmosphere is cosy and informal, and befits the concept of a Garden Wedding. Seating for 150 guests is provided for in the main chapel, with seating outside, for a further 80 guests, can be arranged, if neccesary. Our landscaped tropical garden, with its lovely palms, lucious flowers, plants and fountains has proven to be immensly popular for outdoor weddings. Seating for 180 guests is catered for. For all those romantics at heart, this type of garden wedding is the ultimate expression of their feelings.

Wedding Photography

Media Studio is our preffered wedding photographer, and Klaus, the owner, has the experience needed to capture quality images, no matter what the circumstances. Wedding photography is the most difficult form of photography and the results have to be 100% spot on, as there are no second chances. Don't make the mistake of downplaying the importance of professional photography, after all, your photos are all that is left the morning after your wedding. Conferences, Functions & Events

Our conference facility has enough room to house up to 300 delegates, either in classroom format or in the 'horseshoe' type layout, with room to spare, and offers you the latest in audio visual equipment and expertise. You will have access to the latest Conference gear, including projectors, screens, white boards, charts, as well as a complimentary notepad and pen for each attendee.

Meals, snacks, bottled spring water and complimentary mints are also provided, as is access to our fresh juice bar. Contact us and we will put together the right package to suit your conference needs. At Thabong we make sure that your conference or function is as flawless and productive as possible.

Luxury Suites

At Thabong we have available to you a total of five luxury, airconditioned rooms as well as two stunning Honeymoon Suites, in which a newly wed couple can start of their married life in comfort and style. All rooms are climate controlled and have coffee and tea facilities included. Contact us for rates and packages.

Honeymoon Suites

These suites are perfect for a romantic getaway, so you don't have to be newlywed to enjoy the comfort and stylish luxury that these rooms have to offer. On request we will provide fresh fruit & cream, sparkling wine, in-room dining and even a relaxing bubble bath can be arranged if you so desire. To ensure availability please be sure to book in advance.
